Baked lasagna is a typical Carnival recipe. As with most traditional recipes, this one too has a thousand variations, which change from family to family; this is my grandmother's recipe for making lasagna: she doesn't put ricotta or bechamel. We prepared this dish together on Carnival morning, but only now I had the time to post it on the site, even if late so ... here's Grandma Gilda's baked lasagna recipe!
How to make lasagna in the oven
First of all, prepare a meat sauce by browning the pork cut into chunks in a saucepan with oil. Add the tomato puree, add salt and let the sauce cook for at least 2 hours over low heat.
In a pan, brown the minced veal and pork.
Now add the beaten eggs, mozzarella, diced provolone, 3/4 of the parmesan and a couple of ladles of tomato sauce and mix everything.
Once you have prepared the lasagna filling, cook the lasagna sheets in a rectangular pan with salted water in which you will have put a drizzle of oil. Cook the sheets according to the cooking indicated on the package.
Then lift the lasagna sheets with a slotted spoon and let them dry on a cloth
Now all that remains is to assemble your lasagna.
Take a rectangular-shaped pan, place a few ladles of meat sauce on the bottom and make a first layer of lasagna overlapping the edges.
Pour a layer of filling on the sheets.
Cover with ladles of meat sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Continue alternating a layer of lasagna and the filling.
Finally cover with the layer of lasagna.
Cover with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake the lasagna in the oven at 180 ° C for 30-40 minutes
Let it cool for about ten minutes, then cut the lasagna into squares and serve.
